Long regarded as a timeless Tuscan classic, Santa Cristina Sangiovese dates back to 1946 when it was introduced by Niccolo Antinori. The Chianti Superiore is ruby red in color with purple highlights. The nose is complex, with notes of cherries and plums well integrated with toasted oak and vanilla derived from the aging in small barrels. The palate is ample and supple, with velvety tannins. The finish and aftertaste is long and savory.
